We depend on your kind donations

We depend on your kind donations of furniture, electrical appliances and other household items to help us change lives and protect the environment.

We will collect your donations of furniture and electrical appliances for free as long as they are clean, in good condition and comply with current health and safety legislation so that they can be re-used and resold.

How to donate

You can either deliver your items to our warehouse in Harrogate or phone us on 01423 870040 to arrange a free collection.

Prior to arranging a collection we ask that you email photos of the items so that we can be sure they are suitable for us. We will then contact you to arrange a convenient time and date for the collection.

What we can and cannot accept

There are certain items that we cannot accept as we would be unable to resell them or it would be illegal for us to do so. When you arrange a collection please provide full information on your donations so that our volunteers can advise whether they fall into this category.

In particular, we cannot accept any mattresses or upholstered items, such as sofas, unless they have a permanent fire safety label attached. We will confirm this when we collect but it would be helpful if you could check before booking a visit.

Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid increases the value of your donations because the we can reclaim an additional 25% of their sale value in tax relief. This does not cost you any extra but you will need to make a Gift Aid declaration for the charity to claim. We will usually ask for this when we arrange collection but please do contact us if we have not done so.

Please also see our terms and conditions of collection.
