We depend on your kind donations of furniture, electrical appliances and other household items to help us change lives and protect the environment.

Free collection

We will collect your donations of furniture and electrical appliances for free as long as they are clean, in good condition and comply with current health and safety legislation so that they can be re-used and resold.

Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid increases the value of your donations because the we can reclaim an additional 25% of their sale value in tax relief. This does not cost you any extra but you will need to make a Gift Aid declaration for the charity to claim. We will usually ask for this when we collect your donation but please do contact us if we have not done so.

What we can and cannot accept

There are certain items that we cannot accept as we would be unable to resell them or it would be illegal for us to do so. When you arrange a collection please provide full information on your donations so that our volunteers can advise whether they fall into this category.

In particular, we cannot accept any mattresses or upholstered items, such as sofas, unless they have a permanent fire safety label attached. We will confirm this when we collect but it would be helpful if you could check before booking a visit.
